All Terrain Carriers

Dairyland Power has installed a pressure digger drill on a Brown Bear ATC 10/152 chassis for use in the near mountainous region of the Wisconsin Dells and surrounding territory. The ATC chassis is 4-wheel drive, 4-wheel steer, powered by a 152 HP Turboed diesel engine, power shift transmission and planetary drive-steer axles. The unit traverses terrain inaccessible to standard on-highway trucks.

Florida Power and Light has installed a 70-ft. aerial basket device on a Brown Bear ATC 12/174 chassis, for use in the Florida swamps along their right-of-way. The ATC chassis is 4-wheel drive, 4-wheel steer, powered by a 174 Hp turboed diesel engine, power shift transmission, and planetary drive steer axles. The high floatation 66 x 43.00 x 25 tires provide floatation for operating in the swamps.

Henteges' Tree Service is the primary contractor of electrical power lines for numerous southern Missouri co-ops. Harold Henteges worked with Brown Bear Corporation to design a maneuverable, stable unit to meet his tree trimming needs in rough terrain. Operating in rough, mountainous terrain is the Brown Bear ATC's greatest asset. "The strong point of the mule (as his workers call them) is not the buckets, but the carrier that will get out there to where a bucket truck will not go. In rough terrain, a standard bucket truck is almost useless," asserts Harold.
